Reaching wider audiences through a multi-faceted approach including online training

    H3ABioNet Online Training

    There is a need in Africa to increase the number of qualified Bioinformatics experts and to ensure the content and quality of their training is appropriate. H3ABioNet as part of the H3Africa initiative aims to contribute to the development of the necessary bioinformatics and genomics expertise among African scientists and to establish networks of African investigators.

    There are numerous challenges and obstacles in delivering bioinformatics training on the African continent. Some of these challenges include: inadequate infrastructure, unstable internet connectivity, access to training facilities and lack of human expertise. We address these limitations by using mutli-faceted approaches, one of which is online training. Some of  our flagship courses include, Introduction to Bioinformatics Trainng and the African Genomic Medicine Training Course (see below for more information).
